Pierce Park

Pierce Park is 5.5 acres and is located off of Aspen Valley Drive. This site was developed into a neighborhood park to serve the residents in Aspen Valley. The park consist of two (2) playgrounds, a multi-purpose trail, a open air shelter, basketball court and open play area. This park also serves as a retention pond for the Aspen Valley Area and is one of the few ponds in the City that serves both as a landscape feature and a utility. This park is also part of the Central Greenway System, linking the Greens Coulee Community Park to School District property to the west. Evidence of a prehistoric Oneota settlement was discovered and remains intact in the park, offering a historic attraction as well. Pierce Park was named after the former landowner and farmer Don Pierce, whose family farmed this area for the last century.
