SEWER CHARGES:
SEWER FLAT RATE
The sewer flat charge of $ 25.51 is for the treatment of our sewage by LaCrosse. The annual amount charged to the City of Onalaska is $700,000.
SEWER METER CHARGE
The sewer meter charge is for the repair and maintenance of our sewer infrastructure. (Lift stations, sewer lines, and manholes are examples) This fee is calculated by your water consumption on your April 1st bill. So your total water consumption in January, February, and March is multiplied by $ 1.35. For example, if your water consumption on your April 1st bill was 1000 cubic feet, we would divide 1000 by 100. This equals 10 and then take $ 1.35 and multiply it by 10, which equals $13.50. These calculations are based on 90 calendar days.
