ONALASKA FIRE DEPARTMENT
RESIDENTS: Click the code red button to register your address to recieve informaional and emergency calls from the city.
In November we implemented the Code Red Emergency Notification System. The system was implemented to provide a highly accurate and effective method to notify residents in the event of an emergency. This system is capable of contacting all residents in the city with a message within 14 minutes. Utilization of the system will notify residents with a voice message notifying them of the situation and any action that is recommended to insure their safety.
By utilizing the Code Red System we were able to immediately put in place a highly effective method to notify residents without expanding $200,000.00 for storm warning sirens. With this system we can notify our residents of a tornado warning as the sirens would have but, more importantly, we now have the capability to notify the entire community or a geographically specific region with information and instruction for any emergency.
The system does require your assistance in completing the registration of your name and address, as well as the phone number (s) you would like to be contacted at. If you have not registered please click on the Code Red Link above.

City Ordinance: Fire Prevention Code/Hazardous Materials
Emergency services for the 21st century must improve organizational efficiency while maintaining operational effectiveness through the proper integration of people,
technology, and education. This can be achieved by employing resource sharing, community partnership, and joint training programs. To promote these initiatives, leadership styles must
inspire the values of trust, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
